Reading articles

After reading Bosses Peek on Facebook, I felt angry. Bosses who look on facebook for future prospecting clients will most likely not find ones they're really going to feel a connection to. People normally do not lie on their facebooks. Its a place where we feel like we have no on telling us how to be or how to act. So of course people will tell every bad thing about themselves to just make them seem more appealing. As a society, we love the bad ones. Of course, bosses may also judge on appearances only. For instance, if someone looks on some one's facebook page and realize they do not want to hire them solely because of their ethnicity, they've just made their interviewing process a lot easier. I feel as if we need to caution what we put on our facebooks, but not to the point were we have to worry about if we'll get a future job or not.

The other article that I found interesting/infuriating was "Dial M for Mobile". I'm not sure if I necessarily want to rely solely on getting my education through my cell phone. I prefer having a hands on relationship with my professor instead receiving all of my information through my cell phone. The part that I found interesting however, was when Liz Kolb compared the new phone to an army swiss instead of the most annoying thing in the classroom. Its fascinating to see how far our technology is taking us today in society.
