I had a pretty good spring break. I didn't really go a whole lot of places, but where I did go, I had fun. It was nice catching up on some things that really needed attention. It was a most interesting week. It didn't start out well at all. The 9.0 Earthquake and subsequent Tsunami that hit Japan and wiped out entire towns just before spring break started; then the Nuclear Reactors at Fukushima Daiichi overheating and explosions at four of the six reactor buildings. The escalating situation in Libya with Muammar Gaddafi and the rebels, during spring break made for a lot of news watching. I made sure that no matter where I was at, I had the ability to hear the news. I had my phone with me and had set up the CNN / CBS and Twitter alerts. We are all back in our classes, but a lot is still going on. The contaminated foods and continuing issues with the Japanese reactors along with the horrific death toll of 9,408 confirmed dead and 14,716 confirmed missing (Latest update from CNN). We are engaged in another scuffle in a foreign land. It has been said that Col. Muammar Gaddafi is not the target. Gaddafi NEEDS to be the target. He should have been executed back in December 1988 for the bombing of Pan Am 103 also called the Lockerbie bombing. Everyone knows he was responsible for ordering the bombing that killed 259 passengers on that plane and another 11 people on the ground. Politics are politics though and this will drag out for a long time. It’s more politically correct to attack the snake at its tail then to start at the head. But I digress. I hope everyone had a fun and safe spring break. See you on Friday.
