This Weekend: Texas Relays

I don't know if it is just me or what, but does anyone notice how TEXAS RELAYS has come to something that has nothing to do with the actual relays? I mean the event is actually about the best of the best relay teams coming out to compete and show their running skills. The event still takes place, but you don't really hear about the event at least where I'm from you don't. All I hear about is how many clubs will have this person performing, or how many cars will be crunk and how many after hour spots will be open. I hear about who will have the best clothes on and who's car will be slabbed out the best. Of course I'm not complaining, I like clubbing. lol. But I don't think it's fair to the actual relay teams that they are the actual reason to why so many people are coming to the town, but they don't even get that support from those people. I have been to relays twice, and plan on going this year(which is this weekend), and I've considered the thought of actually attending the relay events to show the runners my support that I think they deserve.
