Aquarena Springs

It has been a long time since I've taken one of those tours. The last time that I did they still had Ralph the swimming pig and mermaids. At that time the place was more of a theme park and had several rides and shows people could go to. I appreciated all the information that I didn't know about the springs and how much research is done there by Texas State. Our tour guide knew quite a bit about the history of the place and was very knowledgeable. I think it surprised me how much I actually did enjoy the little field trip. Gave me a little more appreciation for what is done in my community and aware of how historically important our little town of San Marcos is. I was scared that I was going to miss the trip because I would over sleep or arrive at the dock late. Well I'll see everyone this coming Friday in class.
